Forestion Animal

AnimalNEPAL together with Mobile Veterinary Consultancy Service intends to establish a pilot Animal Birth Control / Anti Rabies (ABC/AR) program in Lalitpur District. Despite the high incidence of dogs and the deep concern of its residents there is not a single ABC/AR program in the district.
Animal Nepal opts to work with a local group of veterinaries as this reduces investment and puts responsibility in the hands of Nepalese professionals. The pilot project, apart from introducing ABC/AR in Lalitpur District, also introduces a community awareness raising program.
Disseminates information to local veterinaries and trains student vets in surgical animal birth control (ABC) methods, offers sterilisation facilities to local pet owners and develops strategies for future interventions. For more information, please

Gai tihar

Gai Tihar

The 3rd day of Tihar is about worshiping the mother of the universe – cow (Gai). According to Hinduism, the human infant is fed breast milk by its human mother for under three years.
After weaning, the cow acts as the surrogate mother providing milk for the rest of the human life - through childhood, adult age and old age.
Cows are the mothers of the universe, the sacred animal. The cow puja is performed by giving a tika to a cow on her forehead, and a flower garland (Flower Leis) on the neck, and offering good meals. Those performing Cow puja place her manure in different parts of the home; drink a drop or two of the cow's urine, as a part of a purification process.
Also dip a blade of grass into the urine and lightly sprinkle it on each other's body to become closer to the mother of the universe - cow.

nepal mountains

The height of a mountain is measured as the elevation of its summit above mean sea level. The Himalayas average 5 km above sea level, while the Andes average 4 km. The highest mountain on land is Everest, 8,848 metres (29,030 ft) in the Himalayas.
Other definitions of height are possible. The peak that is farthest from the center of
He Earth is Chimborazo in Ecuador. At 6,267 metres (20,560 ft) above sea level it is not even the tallest peak in the Andes, but because Chimborazo is very close to the equator and the Earth bulges at the equator, it is 2,150 metres (7,100 ft) further away from the Earth's center than Everest.

Forest plant ations
Forest plantations, generally intended for the production of timber and pulpwood increase the total area of forest worldwide. Commonly mono-specific and/or composed of introduced tree species, these ecosystems are not generally important as habitat for native biodiversity.
However, they can be managed in ways that enhance their biodiversity protection functions and they are important providers of ecosystem services such as maintaining nutrient capital, protecting watersheds and soil structure as well as storing carbon. They may also play an important role in alleviating pressure on natural forests for timber and fuelwood production.
